Mary, our Gymnast

For a very long time Mary has been telling us she would love to do gymnastics.  This was the activity for the year that she really wanted to participate in.  I finally found a place for her to take lessons and she started last Saturday.  To say she was excited would have been the understatement of the year.  She had a great time at her lesson and has been talking about it ever since.  They get to do 2 different routines each week. The first week she did the beam and the springboard.  She never even fell off the beam.  I think she was made for this.  For as long as I can remember she has walked on her toes.  I love her smile.  I love how joy exudes out of her all the time.  So grateful we finally followed through so she could have this opportunity.  It's going to be fun watching her learn and develop for the next few weeks.

Daily Life!

Joel was able to help in Mary's class on Pumpkin Day at her school.

Day of Scout Service projects
Josh really loves to draw.  This was his drawing of Rescue Bots-Heatwave, Chase, and Blades.

Sara wears this hat, made by Spring, almost all day long.
Spring is really excelling with the trumpet as well.  She was asked to play taps and reveille at the
Veteran's Day Recognition for her school.  This is the first time they had a 6th grader capable of playing.
They usually had a High School student come and play for it.  She did amazingly well too!

Jacob

Our little guy is beginning to smile.  The last week or so he has begun to interact with us more and smile when we talk to him or hold him.  It is super cute and very addicting to just play with him and get him to smile.  All the kids think it is super fun and we hear shouts of, "look!  Jacob is smiling!"  throughout the day.  He is starting to sleep for longer stretches at night and is awake more during the day.  He tolerates his swing for a while when he is awake but still prefers to be in someone's arms.  So blessed to have this little man in our family.
