2007 Soccer Pictures

We just received the soccer pictures from this season. Thomas is on the Scorpions and Spring is on the Ponies. Dad is coaching both teams. It's been busy with soccer practices during the week and Spring's games on Friday nights. Starting next week, Thomas will have his games on Saturday mornings. It is so worth it though. The kids love it and are really improving. We are especially impressed at how far Thomas has come in just a few weeks of practice. Sports have always been a big part of our lives and it is fun to see our kids enjoying them too.

Spring's Soccer Game

Spring is on the Ponies Soccer Team and Dad is her coach. She loves to play even though sometimes she will just run around with really no clue of where the ball is. She was especially excited to have pink uniforms.

Mary's 1st Food

We ventured into the world of rice cereal for Mary today. I think her brothers and sister were more excited than she was. She loved to grab at the spoon but wasn't quite sure about the cereal.

Mr. Mom

Thomas and Spring LOVE the song, "Mr. Mom." Whenever we are in the car they ask to listen to it and they sing along very enthusiastically. Sammy starts shaking his fists and dances along. We had them sing so we could record it. They were a little shy since it was being recorded...maybe you should consider yourself lucky that it isn't as loud as it usually is. Hope you enjoy.

Joel's Business Trip

Ft. Morgan

Joel went to Fort Morgan, Colorado this week for a business trip. He flew out Monday morning and returned home early Friday morning (about 1:00 am). Fort Morgan is a small town 70 miles northeast of Denver.

In addition to his trainings he was able to drive around and see the area. He went to Jackson Lake State Park. There is a very nice campground on the side of a lake where there is fishing and boating available. Another Leprino employee that lives outside Fort Morgan has a ranch with horses and bison. Joel was able to visit the ranch and got within about 15 feet of the bison. Mind you-there was no fence separating them. He likes to point out that not many people can say they have been that close to a wild bison and survived to tell the tale. Isn't he a brave one! In all actuality he made sure there were 3 other men between him and the bison at all times so he wouldn't be the first one trampled if they had to get away.

Another highlight of his trip was his encounter with the Sheriff Deputy. And no, Leprino does not reimburse for speeding tickets encountered on business trips. If you are ever visitng Fort Morgan give my regards to Deputy Corey Gibson.

It was a great opportunity for him but we are all very glad he is back home with us. Spring started trying to wake him up from about 6:00 am until she was successful around 8:00. Sammy has been his shadow and will not let him out of his sight.

Joel traveled with a co-worker, Luie, who enjoys photography. We were able to get some beautiful pictures of sunsets and wildlife. Watch for pictures to soon be added.

Tammy's Wedding

We were able to spend time with all of the Biggs at Tammy's wedding last week. The kids had fun with their cousins. We went to Marine World together and even had family pictures taken. That is quite the feat when you consider we had 11 adults and 9 children (the oldest was 6 and the youngest was 4 months). It was a fun time together.

Thomas' 1st Day of School

Thomas started school on the 15th. He went one day and missed the next two because of family things for the wedding. He loves school and is so excited to go. It is hard for us to believe that our little guy is growing up so much and is now at school all day long.

Biggs Family Reunion

We went to the Biggs Family Reunion at the end of July. We were camping at the beach in San Clemente, CA. Thomas and Spring went a week early with Grandma and Grandpa so we were very anxious to meet back up with them. Sammy's favorite part was the water faucet in camp. We are grateful our kids have so many great cousins.

Sammy's Surgery

Sammy had his second eye surgery on July 30th. He has clogged tear ducts and the first surgery did not work. This time they put tubes in his eyes to help the duct stay open. He did really well and we are in hopes this will do the trick. He will get the tubes out in November.
